Second year studies.

Hey Hi!!

This is how I studied for 2nd year and  simultaneously prepared for PG.
So second year consists of 4 important subjects

Here is list of subjects and their respective textbooks I used:-

-Pharmacology-KD tripathi(Rarely Katunz-But I simply love this book!)

-Microbiology - Ananthnarayan

-FMT-Synopsis Reddy

-Pathology -Robbins & Harshmohan.

So let me tell you how to study every subject
-Remember you need to complete your Mcqs of these subjects in 2nd year itself!
So suppose you are reading pharmacology,

Lesson 1 General pharmacology.Follow these step to study:

Step 1:
Do not open above books.
YES! you read correct.

Step 2:

Initially read from - Explanatory.
Explanatory is a book of MCQs but before giving MCQs they explain the theory part with important points and mnemonics. So just learn those and later go for text book. Trust me it will reduce your time by 30% and increase your efficacy by 50%.

Step 3:
Study textbook and most importantly make notes!

Why to study like this?

-1)Primarily to focus more on MCQs. MCQ is the only section in which examinor cannot cut your marks!

-2)After reading explanatory you have an idea of things which are important and which not, which points to focus and which not.
-
-3)Explanatory are updated every year so you will get every important newly invented  drug name and side effects for it.Help you in being updated.

-4)Obviously for PG preparations.

And I can guarantee you if this is how you study each subject in 2nd year you are sure to excel.

Explanatories I used.

Pathology-  Devesh mishra >Garg
Microbiology-  Arora
Pharmacology-  Garg
FMT-  Arora

Good luck:)

Abdomen study

Hello readers ! Today's blog is about abdomen study , basically today I am gonna tell how you should study for B.D.C 2nd volume .

The very first thing you should know is abdomen study requires lots of visualizations!,If you need to make it easy do following steps and I can guarantee you will score good grades
1)Make sure you give your 100% in dissection .About 40% of relations you can visualize or remember through dissection.Dissection give you a proper exposure to the things which you need to know while studying abdomen.
2)You also need to do most of the organs  so for that make sure you see proper orientation of all organs it's connection with peritoneum/Relation with other organs and most importantly location of the particular organ epigastric area etc .
Make mnemonics for relations .I made mnemonics for studying  those relations which was completely not getting into my head .
3)No need to tell that blood supply, clinical aspects are most important part of your answere make sure you don't mess them up .
4)Daily study 1 organ -
How to study organ ?!
-Draw digrams , visualize what you have dissected !
-Make Sure you know number of borders ,sides and their names!
-Blood supply ,nerve supply diagrams if possible draw separately.
5)And I know you all are in 1st year so you hardly remember what you have dissected(in case if you did:D)so don't worry, there are 6 aclands videos covering entire human anatomy you can refer that ,!They are awesome ! Lengthy but yet totally worth it .

Be happy:)
Keep working hard - _-
