Physiology

Physio is actually the most interesting subject in 1st year for sure but studying it for exams is really a tedious job !
So how to study ? I will tell you my experience for physiology
Guyton is the best book for physiology
But the only problem with guyton is it's style and language and you may not be able to write your papers with it ,but trust me you will definitely not find any better book than guyton for physiology during your graduation .
So I would suggest you to use
Guyton+V.D. joshi/BJ notes.

V.D. joshi is just a question -answere format of guyton ,i choose bj notes over V.D. joshi.
Important chapters  like GIT , Reproduction and CVS must be done from guyton ,I personally made my own  answere by combining guyton and bj notes ,but trust me it's really tedious job and time consuming !
Exclusively for CNS i won't suggest you to use guyton ,content is directly of PG level and it will be hard for you guys to digest it in 1st year itself  .
So use books like A.K.Jain or directly go for answers from V.D. joshi or BJ notes but that won't be worthy ,I used sembulingham for some topics of CNS and then used bj notes to understand them in detail!

Physiology is worth reading but it's more important to revise it  from time to time just like for other two subjects !
Daily reading of physiology is must !
Good luck !

Anatomy paper

Hello readers ,today I am gonna tell you how to write anatomy paper for 1st year MBBS , Recently many students have requested me to tell them how to write anatomy paper so here are some tips
First ,of all the important thing which matters during anatomy or any other paper is speed,if you are repeater please write atleast one answere daily to improve your speed as you know ,before getting admission in medical college we hardly wrote anything except MCQs marking !
So how to write paper ?!
1)Your paper will be divided into 3 parts MCQs ,SAQs and LAQs  ,you have to complete entire paper in 2.5hrs, out of which half hour will be dedicated completely to MCQs ,so remaining 2 hrs will be left for SAQs and LAQs!
2)An ideal SAQ should contain maximum number of diagrams ! You have to write SAQ about 2.5 pages or 3 pages but make sure ,"Draw more ,write less".It's like more you draw -more marks you get !.
3)Complete all your SAQs in 1 hr itself ! If you can't finish it in 1 hr ,you will mess up with LAQs ! And in case you can't finish it in 1 hr ,it's fine move on to LAQs ,finish those and if you have time come back and write SAQs
4) Again an ideal LAQ should contain maximum diagrams , normally there are subquestions in LAQ which may include histology or embryology questions !,whereas in histology- diagram is must and for embryology if you know well you can go for diagram .!(I know you all  haven't  yet started with histo or embryo  !)
5) Sometimes in SAQs and LAQs ,examiner also ask Clinical anatomy or clinical importance, well you have to write there .But in case if examiner didn't mention about clinical importance/anatomy - WRITE IT! This will surely fetch you maximum marks !.
6)Now most important thing,
"Never ever leave your paper blank".
You must be knowing something about topic ,write that but don't leave paper blank ! Write something, anything, Related to topic!
This is medical ,1/2 marks or 1 mark is always better than zero ,this may save your entire year guys!
7)Talking about diagrams, so,you can use color pencil directly(Except histology)or if you are not confident draw with normal pencils or else after finishing paper you can just give a colorful pencil drawn over normal pencil  ,but probability of doing this stunt is almost null!.(I did this once and was successful though )

Comments are welcome :)
Critics will improve me and admirers will inspire me !
